Marilyn Manson and his dad took a creepy but sweet picture together

Marilyn Manson had, as you might expect, a troubled upbringing. His mother, who eventually died from dementia, was mentally unfit, and his grandfather’s sexual deviancies are well documented, but his relationship with his father is an entirely different story.

A Vietnam vet who according to Manson was always working and rarely present, theirs is a relationship that’s been slowly rebuilt over the years. And that’s what makes this portrait of them together all the more sweet.

Shot by sexual predator and all around trash human Terry Richardson, seeing Manson, born Brian Warner, and his father Hugh dressed in full stage garb is incredibly charming. And, yeah — a little unsettling. But then you’d expecting nothing less, right?
