It’s easy to take concert photography for granted. I mean, when’s the last time you were at a show and didn’t catch half the audience snapping Instagrams? Yes, technology has made it easier than ever to take pictures at concerts. But it hasn’t made it any easier to be good at it.

At AUX, we’re incredibly lucky to have an unrivalled pool of talented photographers. Every night, they’re hustling, sometimes in the photo pit, sometimes in a mosh pit, to capture those indelible moments words can’t always express. As always, our tireless photo editor (visit his website here) has dug through the year’s archives and picked out 50 favourites, no small task given the quantity, and quality, of the work we regularly turn out.
