Puddle of Mudd were an odd snapshot of Limp Bizkit’s popularity, existing almost solely because Fred Durst thought they should. And with Limp Bizkit’s steady decline, you’d be right to expect Puddle of Mudd’s fall from grace to be that much worse. Wes Scantlin, the floppy haired mop who fronts the band, has struggled with bankruptcy, drugs, domestic violence and more over the last few years, and this past weekend hit an almost comedic low when he was arrested at a Denver airport.

Not for drugs.

Not for causing a scene.

No, Scatlin was arrested for taking a ride on the luggage carousel, by passing signs and landing himself on what lawyers might call a legal… puddle of mudd.

Seriously though, dude was arrested and were it not for a helpful fan would have missed the band’s show that night. Add it to the laundry list of charges he’s accumulated over the years, which include trashing his neighbour’s patio with a chainsaw, being too drunk to fly cross-country, domestic assault and, in 2007, getting himself banned from Graceland after he skipped out of the tour to swim in an off-limits swimming pool.
