No likes from the concertgoers at the go-kart speedway in Versailles, Ohio.

This may come as a bit of shock, but the 2010s haven’t been particularly kind to Puddle Of Mudd.

A long way removed from their chart-troubling glory days, this post-grunge outfit has pretty much exclusively made the news based off frontman Wes Scantlin coming across like a colossal asshole. See: Allegations of being a piece of shit domestic abuser, an arrest for riding an airport baggage carousel, and some nonsense involving taking a buzzsaw to a neighbour’s house.

Have things turned around for the band this summer? Nope! The “She Hates Me” outfit was booed off the stage while performing at a go-kart speedway in Versailles, Ohio. There was some alleged lip-syncing going on which didn’t do Wes and co. any favours, and attendees didn’t just voice their rage at the venue, either. Concertgoers panned the show on Puddle of Mudd’s Facebook page to the point where it appears the band’s packed up and left.

If you visit POM’s Facebook page, you’ll see that they’ve abandoned the thing. In their place is a hilariously goofy band called Black Heart Saints squatting on the URL and openly requesting a record deal. There’s like a 40% chance Black Heart Saints are a savvy parody of daffy modern rock outfits and we choose to be cheerful optimists on that because the alternative is kind of a bummer.

Anyway, here’s hoping Wes Scantlin gets his shit together sometime before 2020. Can someone get Fred Durst on the phone?
