She also had some harsh words for Kim herself.

List of things Sinead O’Connor isn’t: a weak singer, afraid to speak her mind, ever allowed back on Saturday Night Live. The middle one has made for some pretty memorable moments, including the stunt responsible for the last point – tearing up a picture of the pope after her SNL performance in 1992. The Irish singer still has that fire – after seeing Kim Kardashian’s recent Rolling Stone cover, O’Connor published the following gently-worded Facebook Post:

If you can’t quite make that out, here’s the text:

What is this cunt (“I don’t smile much because it causes wrinkles”) doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died. Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be fucking horrified.

Of course, while the C-word is pretty small potatoes in the UK, used as everything from a term of endearment to a playful jab, its connotations are a wee bit different over here. We can no doubt expect some ruffled feathers. Plus we somehow get the feeling that, Irish or not, Sinead meant it in exactly the way we’re thinking.
