Even the staunchest Leafs fans—like yours truly—agree: P.K. Subban is the effin’ best. Indeed, the Norris-winning Montreal Canadiens defenseman is one of the most likeable personalities in hockey, adding much-needed charm to a sport that’s often stultifyingly stuffy. To wit, Subban once admitted to farting in front of opposing goalies to distract them (your move, Sean Avery). He took to downtown Toronto to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, dousing himself with a dumptruck full of ice before calling out Drake. And, of course, the Rexdale-born star is scoring at nearly a point-per-game pace this year, leading a shockingly hot Habs squad and displaying that he’s worth every penny of his $72 million contract.

If all that wasn’t enough, he might’ve just put together the best Halloween costume in the game. 25Stanley.com captured photos of Subban’s costume—which was a totally terrifying Michael Jackson, from “Thriller”—as put together by Liza-Marie Charron. It’s terrifying. It’s accurate. And with honourable mentions to Brendan Gallagher’s Ninja Turtles outfit, it’s the best costume we’ve seen so far this year. Needless to say, it’s a way better fusion of hockey, Halloween, and music that Raffi Torres’ idiotic Jay Z costume. [H/T Puck Daddy]
