Watch Polaris nominees cover songs by other Polaris nominees

With the 2014 Polaris Music Prize gala fast approaching, AUX and Polaris have put together three awesome performances by former nominees Sarah Harmer, Whitehorse and The Great Lake Swimmers in what we’re calling the Polaris Cover Series. And, yes, they’re covering songs by other former Polaris nominees, including a tune by Harmer herself, and two others by The New Pornographers and Caribou.
The cameraman, video editor, and the guy who painted our set are all Polaris nominees, too. That’s not true. But still, check out the teaser above and subscribe to our YouTube page so you don’t miss anything.
We’ll be releasing the video for Harmer’s Caribou cover on August 19, and air the next two videos on August 26 and September 2.
