vabDot ‘IwlIj tlhInganpu’ QoQ?

Understand that? Congratulations, you fucking dork. But you know what? Own it. Be proud. That’s what Ottawa metal band Bitter Tree did with 4 Klington Love Songs, an EP that’s exactly what you think it is.

Like Stovokor before them, they sing entirely in Klingon, though they’ve taken a more… traditional approach to the warrior race’s culture. With throat singing, chanting and a droning backbone, 4 Klingon Love Songs has the vibe of some of LLN’s more alienating material, but at just under six minutes, their approach to traditional Klington folk songs is as bizarre as it is endearing. And with tracks about war, drinking, war and… war, they’re true to form.

Qapla’!
