Well, that didn’t last long. Just two weeks after Insane Clown Posse announced Gathering of the Juggalos would move from Illinois to Missouri The Associated Press is reporting that the annual festival is being forced to move. Again.

Apparently the community surrounding CryBaby Campground—the site’s actual, real name—were less than enthused by the prospect of one hundred thousand wicked clownz crashing in and around the quiet town of Kaiser, Missouri. And, honestly, who could blame them? In its 11 years, Gathering of the Juggalos has been marred by controversy, ranging from bottles of piss and garbage hurled at its performers to massive drug arrests and tear gassed crowds. Oh, and last year festival sponsors revealed that the Gathering was effectively broke.

Still, an agreement was made.

In an official statement posted to the festival’s website, organizers are blaming the media blitz surrounding Insane Clown Posse’s fight with the ACLU against the FBI for starting a local boycott against the festival.

“It was just too much of an onslaught of negative energy coming at them for them to handle,” reads the statement. “They endured the unendurable and suffered the insufferable to the point that they couldn’t take it anymore and decided to pull the plug.”

If you can believe it, they’re taking the news pretty well, writing that they “hold no resentment toward the people of the campground,” adding that “the threat of their business suffering long after [The Gathering of the Juggalos left]” made backing out understandable.

Ninjas need not fret, though: they’ve got a Plan B, apparently, and while they’re looking to refund ticketholders, the Psychopathic Fam says they’ve had alternatives lined up the entire time.
