Aging bands can easily fall into a cycle of endless reunions. And while Mötley Crüe are on that train, with dates on their second farewell tour set to unroll through the end of 2015, they’re promising their current farewell tour will be their absolute last. Better than a pinky swear, they’re holding themselves to it with a contract that forbids them from playing live together after next year.

The band’s attorney, Doug Mark, said in a statement that the Cessation of Touring Agreement is a “mutual decision among all four original members,” calling it a “peaceful decision to move on to other endeavours and to confirm it with a binding agreement.”

Bassist Nikki Sixx is promising a bunch of surprises for the tour, but says the band is keeping them under wraps for now. “That would be like finding out what you’re getting for Christmas before you open the presents,” he said. “We think in an age of too much information, we’d like to keep some surprises close to our chest until we launch the final tour.” The band signed their agreement at a press conference, accompanied by tombstones bearing their names.

Canadian fans are in luck, however, because the band does have a handful of dates scattered across the next year. They’re still unveiling their itinerary, so the lack of a Montreal or Quebec date should hopefully be fixed. Otherwise Canadians can catch them as follows:

August 10 – TORONTO, ON @ Molson Canadian Amphiteatre
November 18 – EDMONTON, AB @ Rexall Place
November 19 – CALGARY, AB @ Scotiabank Saddledome
November 21 – VANCOUVER, BC @ Rogers Arena
