Universal kills popular Smiths/Peanuts mashup

This Charming Charlie is an, uh, charming tumblr created by designer Lauren Loprete that mashes up popular gloomy Smiths lyrics with frames from Charles Schulz’s Peanuts comics, and did we say is? We meant was.

According to a recent post on the blog, Universal Music Publishing Group is putting a stop to the blog. They’re the ones who license the Smiths’ image and music, and so far have killed at least 6 posts from the popular page. With an end in sight, This Charming Charlie is urging fans to save copies of the comics to their computers; in the interim, Loprete promises to keep copies on her personal site.
