As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis was arrested earlier this year after allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife in one of the weirder incidents of the spring, and now the evidence is piling up after a preliminary hearing in San Diego. According to judge Robert Kearney, there’s enough evidence for Lambesis to see trial after investigators searched his house and found a lock box filled with steroids and cash.

NBC’s San Diego affiliate say there were 30-40 vials plus several pill packs of male enhancement drugs, estrogen blockers and libido-enhancers in addition to more than $12,000 in cash. The accusations against Lambesis are based on the alleged hiring of who he thought to be a hitman to kill his estranged wife. Lambesis allegedly hired an undercover copy an envelope filled with cash and said, “just to make it clear, I do want her dead.”

Lambesis has previously said that steroids “warped his brain” and made him act out, and this evidence corroborates that. Yikes.

He’ll be arraigned on October 22nd.
