Beyoncé brings a lot out in people, from joyful dance sessions to bizarre on-call croons, but a fan completely crossed the line in Sao Paulo, Brazil yesterday when he grabbed and pulled the jumpsuited singer off stage midway through “Irreplaceable.”

It seems he must not know about… basic human decency and personal space, and the respect you consent to when purchasing a front row ticket. Unsurprisingly, Beyoncé played it off like the goddamned pro she is. As security swarmed the shirtless perpetrator, Bey made sure to tell them to ease off, even saying “it’s okay.”

It wasn’t okay, and the dude was almost definitely booted from the show once Beyoncé turned around, but this is yet another instance of a fan crossing the line and Mrs. Carter playing it off in stride. This is actually the second such incident to happen during a performance of “Irreplaceable” this year. In May, a fan in Copenhagen slapped her ass and was calmly told by the singer that she was going to “have him escorted out.”

I mean, we get that she looks real good in that blue jumpsuit, but Beyoncé’s there to do her thing and do it well. Look, admire, and at the very most put your hand up or out to see if she’ll slap you five. What you don’t do is grab, especially when you’re shirtless. Because if being yanked off stage by some psycho wasn’t bad enough, the last thing Beyoncé probably wanted was to be coated in another person’s sweat. There’s no other way about it, this is straight up assault.
