The more I hear the song, the more I get hooked on it.

Check out “Burial Suit” by Toronto band Still Life Still, off the bands upcoming sophomore record. The song (and album) was produced and recorded in Toronto by Alex Bonefant (Metz, Crystal Castles) and was written in the dead of winter after a year of demoing and scrapping a lot of songs. It’s about breaking rituals and routines; how love can take you to strange, sometimes messed-up places. No doubt they’ll be performing this song and others next weekend, as the band join Broken Social Scene, Feist, Bloc Party and more as part of the Arts & Crafts 10th anniversary celebration Field Trip Music & Arts Festival.

The video takes a glimpse into band member Aaron Romaniuk’s family memories. Birthdays, travels, and everyday life growing up in the west end of Toronto, filmed from 1960 to 1970 by his grandmother (Stella Romaniuk) and his grandfather (Paul Romaniuk).
