Here’s my prediction for the song of the summer, “OctaHate” from Ryn Weaver.

Who?

Well, we all don’t really know much at her at this point. Obscurity is the new thing these days. All we really know so far is that the Los Angeles/New York-based singer enlisted the help of some great collaborators on her debut single. The song was co-written by Weaver and Charli XCX and co-produced by Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos, Norwegian DJ Cashmere Cat, and pop super producer Benny Blanco.

At least that’s a starting point. But really, what else do we need to know to fall in love with this song?

“OctaHate” is a unique, memorable earworm about the fallout from a breakup. Good luck getting this one out of your head.
