The Roots and Elvis Costello announce collaborative album, 'Wise Up Ghost'

Their work on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has taught us not to put anything past the Roots, and maybe that’s why we’re not entirely surprised that they’ve announced a new collaborative album with Elvis Costello. Or maybe it’s because we’ve been hearing about this for months.
Whatever the case, holy shit through, right?
According to Pitchfork, the album’s going to be called Wise Up Ghost and it will be released on September 17th through Blue Note Records.
A press release says that the idea began as a single for Record Store Day and blossomed from there.
“I went stark and dark on the music, Elvis went HAM on some ole Ezra Pound shit,” said ?uestlove.
