At the end of each week, #Top40Tweets lists a cross-section of artists on the current pop charts and puts their tweets on display (along with their current chart number) for your enjoyment/scrutiny. This week, we look at 5 artists on the Billboard Music Charts.

#3: Taylor Swift – I Knew You Were Trouble

Remember how Sylvia Plath stuck her head in an oven? Let’s hope things don’t get that dire for T-Swift.

FUN FACT: On her new album (Red), Taylor Swift takes no prisoners when it comes to bashing her ex-lovers. Check out some of the most biting jabs here.

#33: Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven

It’s always interesting when an SNL guest double-dips on hosting and musical duties. Based on the sketch below where Mars impersonates Billie Joe Armstrong, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and more, it seems like the writers really played to his strengths, and he did a pretty good job.

FUN FACT: Hey, even Justin Bieber thought he did a pretty good job with it:

#8: Ke$ha – Die Young

The best part about this? The next person who comes into that radio station to be interviewed is going to wonder why they almost instantly develop an ear infection.

FUN FACT: Ke$ha is the first-ever solo white female to grace the cover of Vibe Magazine. She’s also the first person, regardless of race or gender, to drunkenly proposition a potted plant during her Vibe photo shoot.

#53: Juicy J – Bands A Make Her Dance feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz

Is anyone going to tell Juicy that he’s downloading Kendrick’s old album?

FUN FACT: Did I mention that this guy has an OSCAR? How long will it be before Juicy J EGOTs?

(Uncharted): Waka Flocka Flame – Hard In Da Paint

I guess this YouTube parody was kind of a prophecy.

FUN FACT: If Waka Flocka Flame was elected president, he wouldn’t be the only American president who didn’t finish high school. Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States, had little-to-no formal education, and now his face is on the twenty dollar bill. Maybe someday Waka’s face will be on the trillion dollar bill.
