It’s Monday morning and Hurricane Sandy is pelting the east coast with heavy winds and an incessant downpour of rain, and speaking of things that are horrible, here’s a new song from Limp Bizkit that extensively features Fred Durst’s singing voice.

It’s called “Lightz,” and even though Durst says it’s not the first single off the band’s next album, it does maybe give way to a new direction since the band’s moved onto Cash Money records.

Barring an uninvited solo from Wes Borland, the track is mostly electronic, pulsating with a back-beat that carries an inspirational sounding vibe until you realize the guy is rapping about strippers and vampires and cheese. Thanks (but not) to Metal Insider for the heads up on this track, and also for reminding us that their new album is going to be called Stampede of the Disco Elephants.
