Based on musical genre, is your favourite artist more likely to support Obama or Romney?

As a musician, revealing your political associations can be a tricky thing. On one hand, you could pull a Jay and Bey, earning mega cool-points through being besties with Barack and Michelle. On the other, you could ignite the ire of the entire country music industry like the Dixie Chicks did when they spoke out against George W. Bush.
Is your favourite artist mum on his or her political stance? How are you supposed to ROCK THE VOTE, when your favourite rocker is decidedly mute when it comes to politics? Using the unquestionable resources at Wikipedia, we were able to find a list of musician endorsements made for both Barack Obama‘s and Mitt Romney‘s respective campaigns. With our findings, you can make generalized assumptions about your musical idols ’till November comes knockin’. Here’s what we discovered:
Observations:
– Barack Obama has a total of 57 musician endorsements listed on his Wikipedia page, while Mitt Romney has a total of 24.
– Big surprise: country musicians make up over 54% of Mitt Romney’s musical supporters, while Barack doesn’t have a single country musician listed as a supporter listed.
– Obama’s musician endorsements look like a fairly well-rounded record collection, with a lean towards R&B and pop.
– Romney’s endorsements are comprised of 29.2% rock musicians, whereas Barack’s list is only 19.3%.
– Mitt Romney has the support of the VENTRILOQUIST sect, somehow making him even creepier as a candidate.

Hip-Hop: Barack Obama (85.7%), Mitt Romney (14.3%)
Opera: Barack Obama (0%), Mitt Romney (100%)
Ventriloquist/singer: Barack Obama (0%), Mitt Romney (100%)
Pop: Barack Obama (92.9%), Mitt Romney (7.1%)
Rock: Barack Obama (61.1%), Mitt Romney (38.9%)
R&B: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
Folk/Singer-songwriter: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
Latin: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
Jazz/Blues: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
Adult Contemporary: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
Electronic: Barack Obama (100%), Mitt Romney (0%)
The logic starts to get a bit murky, since Mitt seems to attract the favour of billionaire business tycoons rather than R&B crooners, so draw conclusions at your own risk. At least now you can say with at least 17% certainty that Toby Keith is probably voting for Mitt Romney.
