Between Friday and Saturday of last week, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj broke the record for most views of a video on VEVO in 24 hrs, with their clip for “Beauty And A Beat,” which was written, shot, and directed by Justin himself. The video accumulated 10.6 million views during the 24-hour span, and just as a rule of thumb, if a YouTube/VEVO video has a record-breaking amount of views, it probably has user comments exhibiting record-breaking levels of stupidity.

From what we can tell, the majority of Internet trolls tend to perceive Justin Bieber’s music career as an assault on what is subjectively “real” or “good” music, which means that by association, the youngest and most impressionable music fans are exposed to some of the most heinous and indefensible slop on the Internet. The comments we decided to feature are comparatively harmless when stacked up against the homophobic, racist, and idiotic chatter that we chose to ignore. Rather than feeding worst of the trolls, we’ve decided to feature some more innocent comments from Justin Bieber fans, Nicki Minaj fans, and a few vocal detractors, all of which make us glad that there was no YouTube when we were growing up.

Everyone knows that YouTube is ground-zero for maximum human ignorance, so willingly scrolling through the comments section equates to asking for a cranium-crushing idiocy-induced migraine. But if you’re a glutton for punishment, or if you want a front-row seat to civilization’s ongoing decline, check out a few of the dumbest and funniest comments we found on Justin Bieber’s “Beauty And A Beat” video.

Oh, and as a side note, bonus points to this commenter for noticing the wardrobe malfunction:
