Digital Domain seemed to be poised for big things after their triumph at Coachella, but it seems the months following 2pac’s digital return saw the company flying like a 3D Icarus too close to the digital sun: The Financial Post reports that they’ve just filed for bankruptcy.

What’s crazy is 2pac wasn’t their first foray into big named productions. Founded by director James Cameron and with Academy Awards to its name, the company still managed to amass almost $215 million in debts.

It’s not known how much of their future projects will continue, but at this point it’s at least probably safe to say that their Elvis Presley plans are probably dead on the toilet in the water.
