The success of this edition of MEME ALERT is hinging on the fact that you are a) familiar with some of the most iconic hip-hop albums of the last twenty years, and b) familiar with the work of comedic actor Aziz Ansari. If you’re familiar with both, we think these album covers are really going to hit home for you. Seeing the cover of Self Made Vol. 2 with five Aziz Ansari heads instead of the Maybach Music crew has been the best part of our day so far.

The cleverly-titled single-topic Tumblr Emceez Ansari has posted a series of popular hip-hop album covers with Aziz Ansari’s head photoshopped onto the face of the original artist. It’s no “Popular Album Covers Reimagined With Kittens,” but hey, we’ll take it.
