Toronto tweeters were excited about a famous foodie (sorry. SORRY.) making his way around the city yesterday—Anthony Bourdain was in town filming an episode of The Layover, making stops in St. Lawrence Market, Chinatown, Kensington Market, the Annex, and Queen West, trying peameal bacon sandwiches, shopping for knives, eating tostadas and poutine (duh) along the way.

Later in the evening, he circled back around to Kensington for a stop at bar Cold Tea, taking along with him members of Fucked Up. An AUX employee happened to be enjoying a blueberry beer (ew, impossible) when the film crew showed up. Check out his phone camera pics below, with Bourdain at center and Fucked Up’s Damian Abraham (white hat) and Mike Haliechuck on the right. In another picture below it looks like guitarist Josh Zucker further to the right, but our resident Fucked Up expert Sam Sutherland thinks it could also be drummer Jonah Falco. Phones, man.

“Thank you, titans of TORONTO, great band, good guys: Fucked Up,” Bourdain tweeted. “Musicians and gastronomes extraordinaire!” This isn’t the first time they’ve pal’d around—Fucked Up played the Christmas episode of Bourdain’s other show, No Reservations, back in December. Abraham calls Bourdain a “buddy and NY punk OG” in the caption for the very great above picture, via Abraham’s twitter.
