We’ve already heard that Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme would be filming an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s travel/food show No Reservations; the episode is set to air tonight on the Travel Channel, and over the weekend, Bourdain posted a letter to Homme’s daughter on his Tumblr.
In it, he apologizes for the things she might see her dad do in the episode (“Yes, Daddy seems to be drinking a lot of tequila on the show. But he never got drunk. Not that I saw anyway”), and also tells her how great it was to have him on (“You will hear a lot of great music”).
The note is trademark Bourdain snarky, yeah, even to a little girl, but in a sweet way, and it ends on an adorable note, where he asks: “He is a pretty good cook too—though this is something you surely know by now. I cook my daughter grilled cheese sandwiches. What does your Daddy cook you?”
You can read the whole thing here, and watch a clip of some gorgeous looking b-roll from the shoot above, which also features original music from Homme. A short preview of the episode—showing Bourdain smashing Homme’s guitar—is below.
