Modest Mouse performed this past weekend at the Metallica curated Orion Music + More festival, and by all accounts were treated with respect by a fan base that in all likelihood wasn’t there to see them. But the Village Voice reports that Modest Mouse didn’t feel the crowd deserved the same respect, with singer Isaac Brock allegedly taking potshots at Metallica fans while performing at the Governors Ball festival the following day.

“We played with Metallica last night [at Orion Fest],” said Brock. “And I gotta tell you, you guys are so much more attractive—and you probably don’t still live at home.”

Very necessary commentary there from Brock. Modest Mouse last released We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank in 2007.
