At rehearsals for the MDNA World Tour in Israel on Sunday, Madonna revealed a section of her set list where she seamlessly and shamelessly drops a chorus from “Born This Way” overtop of the music from 1989′s “Express Yourself,” effectively showing Lady Gaga who’s boss. So, is this a friendly head-nod, or is Madge flexing her muscles? In an interview with ABC News last year, Madonna said “Born This Way” was “a wonderful way to redo [her] song.”

Madonna will perform over 80 shows in the MDNA World Tour this year, covering Europe, North America, and South America, so regardless of its intent, it seems quite a few fans will bear witness to this winking tribute in 2012.
