End Hits is a weekly podcast hosted by Sam Sutherland, featuring interviews with musicians and musician-types from a dining table in Toronto.

Our eleventh episode of End Hits (listen to the rest another time) brings Paul McKenzie and Mark “Bone” Boland of the Real McKenzies to our dining table. OGs of that celtic punk sound which makes Boston Red Sox fan froth at the mouth, the Vancouver-based band has been churning out Scottish-influenced Epi-Fat style punk since before you could call something “Epi-Fat style” (1992, to be specific). Since then, they’ve had about two thousand different members, shared the stage with bands as diverse as Metallica and the Misifits, and continued to evolve their sound; their latest, Westwinds, is arguably their best album to date.
