Remember those heady thirteen or fourteen months in, like, 2008 or something, when you couldn’t throw a third generation iPod without hitting a band with no vowels in their name? JPNDRDS! MSTRKRFT! VRGNS! MGMT! CSTVT! SBTRKT! Mercifully, the tide of stupidity has receded. Most of those trds broke up, and Japandroids consistently spell their name normally now, using it to release the life-affirmingly awesome Celebration Rock this week.
