Canadian hockey fans not rooting for Ottawa or Vancouver get a rude awakening tomorrow when the NHL Playoffs start with their teams renewed country club passes, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t watch tonight’s Stanley Cup Countdown show on Hockey Night in Canada.

Not only will the show pride itself on being the definitive post-season primer, but with Toronto’s Cuff the Duke acting as the show’s live band, it’s the closest Hogtown hockey fans have been the post-season in years.

Hockey Night in Canada’s Stanley Cup Countdown airs tonight at 8PM on CBC TV and CBCSports.ca.
