Whether you grew up playing with My Little Pony, or if you’re one of those weirdo new-school “Bronies” (adult male fans of the tv show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), this should have some resonance with you. Finnish sculptor Mari Kasurinen has completed a series of My Little Ponies, transforming pop icons into cute and colourful tiny horses.
Kasurinen used plastic, faux-fur and other materials to complete the sculptures, noting that the project is meant to “explore the relationship between popular culture and how celebrities shape the status and self image of regular people.” The sculptures take from 9 to 40 hours each to build, and she sells them via her website for up to £600 each.
Check out a few of the sculptures below, then bounce to the Huffington Post to see the entire gallery, which includes My Little Edward Scissorhands, My Little Jack Sparrow, My Little Catwoman (Ponywoman?), and many more. Believe me, Bronies & Pegasisters — it’s truly magical.
