Lemmy says not to buy Motörhead's new, $600 box set

You might remember a few months back when Elvis Costello told fans not to buy his new box set because of its huge price tag, and now Motörhead’s followed suit, telling fans not to buy The Complete Early Years because of its $600 price tag.

“Motörhead have no control over what’s done with these early songs, and don’t want fans to think that the band is involved in putting out such a costly boxset,” read a statement released by the band.

“Unfortunately greed once again rears its yapping head. I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists,” added iconic frontman Lemmy Kilmister.

As for why the set costs so much, NME reports that the package comes inside of a skull with lighted eyes also features posters and a photo book. The entire package is pictured above.
