Montreal’s smoked meat institution Schwartz’s deli is looking to find a new owner, and one of the names being thrown around is none other than Mr. Celine Dion.

René Angelil, along with his cousin Paul Sara (with whom Angelil owned Nickels restaurants in the 90s), are part of a larger group of potential investors. There’s a supposed $10 million dollar price on the joint.

A couple of Quebec cultural institutions coming together seems to make sense, no? Patrons may fear change with new ownership, but owner Hy Diamond is taking his time to make sure it goes to a good home. [via National Post]
