As the US Republican race heats up and the crazy starts to snowball, supporters of Ron Paul haven taken to Twitter to voice their support for the controversial Libertarian candidate. More specifically, they’ve taken to other people’s Twitters, hacking the accounts of No Doubt, Rise Against and Nicole Scherzinger to try and raise support for Paul.

While the tweets were quickly removed, NME reports that No Doubt’s account briefly read, “Today we officially endorse Ron Paul 2012”

“If you actually read what Ron Paul is saying, you will discover that for the first time in your life a politician is not lying to you,” read another tweet.

Because obviously the hackers weren’t going to get away with this, both No Doubt and Rise Against took to their accounts to clear their air once the affected messages were deleted.

“We were hacked. As you would all assume, we DO NOT support Ron Paul,” said Rise Against, while No Doubt took a more apolitical stance on the hackings. “Our Twitter account was hacked last night. No political endorsements at this time. Love, No Doubt.”

Billboard points out that all three of these artists are signed to Interscope.
