Two things immediately came to mind when we heard Jack White was going to work with Tom Jones. First, Tom Jones has gone grey. Weird. Second, this might be weirder than his salad tossing, Insane Clown Posse collaborating Mozart cover.

But it could work.

Tom Jones reportedly worked with White for the latest in his Third Man Records Blue Series of singles, the very same series which produced “Leck Mich Im Arsch” and the Stephen Colbert accompanied “Charlene II (I’m Over You)”.

According to an interview with MOJO Magazine, White and Jones combined to cover Howlin’ Wolf’s “Evil” as well as a new rendition of Jones’s own “Jezebel,” which appeared on his 2002 album Mr. Jones.

According to White, Jones “impressed the shit out of everybody” on both tracks. There’s no release date for the single yet, but it should be out within the next few months.
