Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi diagnosed with lymphoma

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma and is currently developing the a treatment plan with his doctors, Consequence of Sound is reporting.

The good news? At this point, Iommi has no plans to back out of Black Sabbath’s 2012 reunion plans. The band is in the midst of writing and recording a new album, with the rest of the band joining Iommi in London.

Iommi also plans to join the band on their confirmed tour dates through May, June, and July. All the best to Iommi for a quick and full recovery! [via Consequence of Sound]
