Madonna confirmed to play the Superbowl Halftime show

On Sunday night, months of rumours were confirmed: Madonna will play the Superbowl Halftime show this coming February.

According to the press release, her performance will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and her choreographer, Jamie King.

It comes at a good time for Madge—with a new movie coming out and a new, yet unconfirmed album slated for 2012, she’s on our minds, though really, is she ever far? Who knows, maybe she’ll even bring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. along with her.
