Madonna has made $1 billion dollars on tour but even she can't afford New York parking.
Having been freshly crowned the highest-grossing touring solo act of all time with $1.31 billion lifetime earnings from ticket sales, Madonna has wasted no time hatching an appropriately elaborate, supervillainess-worthy plot… with the aim of snagging primo New York parking spaces, ‘natch. Enchantress, eat your heart out.
TMZ reported that Madonna, who resides atop her dark tower $40 million townhouse in the Upper East Side of NYC, had her minions illegally place “Tenant Parking Only” signs outside her building, and also emboss “NO PARKING” in the concrete. Not yet finished, Madonna’s flunkies went the extra vile mile by having the curb painted yellow. “This oughta do it, boss” – Rocksteady-esque Madonna henchman. “Ahaahaha… now no one will stop me, from getting into my home with optimal efficiency!”
When a neighbour noticed the fake signs, they contacted the appropriate authorities at the New York Department of Transportation, who paid a visit to Madge’s townhouse and told her to remove the offending items. “Blast… foiled again by those do-gooders! Just wait until they get a load of my next scheme… parking in front of a fire hydrant!”- Madonna in Rita Repulsa garb.
