It seems like Deadmau5’s troll-like tendencies are rising as quickly as his profile. This past weekend, the Canadian DJ (real name Joel Zimmerman) tweeted after performing at the Video Game Awards that he’d lost his PS Vita, an unreleased handheld gaming device from Sony which he claimed was the only unit “outside Sony’s walls.”

Of course he was joking. “I just wanted to see how much management would freak out over it, trolololol,” wrote Deadmau5 on his Facebook page, captioning an image of the unit fully intact, in his possession and sitting in a gigantic briefcase.

But here’s where the joking stops and the idolizing starts: in between teasing Sony (and presumably giving executives a heart attack), Zimmerman found the time to get Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto’s name tattooed on his arm. As Kotaku points out, this isn’t his first gaming tattoo, either. He’s already got ink based on Minecraft and Space Invaders, and Miyamto’s name is just inches from a Zelda-inspired heart metre tattoo. For those not in the gaming loop, Miyamoto is one of the creators behind the Zelda franchise.

The successor to the Sony PSP, the PlayStation Vita hits stores in Japan on December 17th. It makes its way across the Atlantic a few months later, on February 22 of next year.
