Bono says he's annoyed by his own voice

Sometimes jokes write themselves, like when Bono was on The Ellen DeGenerous Show and told the dance-happy host that he hates the sound of his own voice.
Bono says he tries to avoid listening to himself sing, adding, “If I hear our songs on the radio I tend to turn them down. Not because I don’t like them or believe in them but, actually, my voice annoys me. I always think I could have sang it better.”
Then came the kicker.
“I’m a sort of macho, Irish guy,” he said with a straight face, “and particularly in those ’80s songs, I think I sound like a girl.”
To her credit, Ellen was right on top of it. “You sound like a real pretty girl, I’ll tell you that,” she replied.
