In case you missed the live stream over the weekend, Ted Leo donned some Misfits-Danzig attire and performed the hell out of a set of Misfits covers at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX on Sunday.

After Danzig’s particularly diva-esque dramatics on the previous Friday, Leo’s homage was a welcome affair, sticking it to him a bit while keeping things light and slaying those covers. The crowd loved it.

“I just want to apologize for Friday night,” he said, as Danzig, before launching into “Skulls.” “I check my Facebook pretty frequently and I saw a message that said everybody who organized this festival wanted to hear a certain song. So this one’s for them.”

Leo also performed a set of Misfits song at The Fest in Gainesville, FL the previous week with a tribute band called TV Casuality, which includes members of Ted Leo’s real band the Pharmacists, Paint It Black and others.
