It feels like we’ve been here before, but Broken Social Scene played what Kevin Drew is claiming as their final show earlier this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and, in curious fashion, went out swinging…with a bunch of covers.

Ending their set with a crowd accompanied a capella cover of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” the group did the usual encore tease before lumbering back on stage to turn out renditions of everything from Beastie Boys’ “Funky Boss” to Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name Of,” tossing in a few originals along the way.

While we’re sceptical that this was actually the band’s last hurrah, we can still enjoy these videos for what they are: a seemingly great set of performances the lovely people of Rio were lucky enough to enjoy. And ones, thanks to Pitchfork, we can happily share.
