Rivers Cuomo details 'The Pinkerton Diaries,' but this time it's really being released

It’s been a year since Rivers Cuomo announced the upcoming release of the Pinkerton Diaries, a “collection of all my journals, emails, letters, photos, school papers—everything from those years ’94-’97,” and though its March release date came and went with nothing, the pre-order for the massive, impressive looking deal is up now on Cuomo’s website. The package is set to be released on December 12.

Not only will we get a closer look at Cuomo than ever before, but we get more music, too: The Pinkerton Diaries includes the third volume of Rivers’ Alone series, featuring demos recorded during the same years.

The first 500 orders will include a limited-edition poster signed by Rivers himself, so pre-order now, fans. [via Stereogum]
