New York artists Katie Heffelfinger and Jed Miner, who call themselves occupytheartworld, have unveiled a new work of art consisting of 57 empty, discarded pill bottles, allegedly those of perma-troubled musician Courtney Love.

Titled “Core Samples,” the work comes from a stash of Love’s personal goods the duo found on a loading dock outside a storage unit facility back in June. “Since her people couldn’t get back to me [to give the stuff back], I waited three months then decided to start displaying the work,” Heffelfinger told Papermag. Also in the stash of stuff were financial records and letters she wrote to various celebrities and her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

The two are prepared for Love to come at them swinging, though. Says Miner, “We are prepared for that. Katie is a mud wrestling champion.” [via Papermag]
