Frances Bean Cobain covers Jimmy Eat World

While both talented in their own right, nobody would ever accuse Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love of being great singers. So imagine our surprise this weekend when their daughter, 23-year-old Frances Bean Cobain, instagrammed a short (like, 5 second) clip of her singing.

There’s little to go on here — Cobain, opening the clip in a bulky Fred Flintstone shirt, only sings the song for a few seconds — but perhaps unsurprisingly, she can carry a tune.

Proud momma Courtney Love even regrammed the clip on her own profile, complete with the requisite embarrassing dose of mom-pride.

“I know your father is very proud of this as am I baby,” wrote Love. “I love you to the moon and back.”

Awwww.

Anyways, maybe we’ll hear more from Frances in the near future.
