Courtney Love storms off stage in Brazil after an audience member holds up a picture of Kurt Cobain

Courtney Love and her new version of Hole played the SWU festival in Brazil this past weekend, and the set turned sour when Love began chastising a fan for holding up a picture of Kurt Cobain. where the singer indulged in a tirade after a fan held up a picture of Kurt Cobain during the band’s set.

“I don’t need to see a picture of Kurt, asshole,” Love said. “I’m not Kurt. I have to live with his fucking shit and his ghost and his kid everyday. Throwing that up is stupid and rude.” And honestly. What was that person’s point?

She went on to drag Dave Grohl in to it as well. “Go see the fucking Foo Fighters and do that shit.” Love left the stage shortly after.

Within a few minutes, guitarist Micko Larkin returned and told the crowd if they wanted Courtney back out, they’d have to chant “The Foo Fighters are gay.” Love did reappear, and said “I don’t care what you listen to at home, but if a guy takes off money off my kid’s table, fuck him.” The band then presumably started playing again.
