Not that anyone actually bought Tony Iommi’s denials, but heavy metal’s worst kept secret became official today with Black Sabbath announcing that its original line-up has officially reunited for a new album and world tour.

The reformed line-up of Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward will make their reunion official in June, when they take the stage at England’s Download festival with more tour dates are expected to come out eventually.

As for their new album, all we know is that it’ll be produced by Rick Rubin and should be out sometime in 2012. It will be the original line-up’s first album together in 34 years following 1978’s Never Say Die.

The announcement is accompanied by a flying word filled video that you can watch below, but be warned: it’s basically just a bunch of quotes accompanied by swoosh sounds.
