Watch Susan Boyle perform "Unchained Melody" on Dancing with the Stars last night (for some reason)

Nothing says celebrity dance show like a middling performance from spinster superstar Susan Boyle, which I guess explains why the Scottish sensation (????) guested on last night’s Dancing With the Stars to sing her eyebrow intensive cover of “Unchained Melody.”

The performance got off to a rocky start when host Brooke Burke introduced it as a cover of “Enchanted Melody,” but things really took a turn for the weird when the show’s producers decided to overlay Boyle’s face—which, at the risk of sounding mean, isn’t exactly her selling point…or maybe it is—atop a supremely shirtless dude and his Cinderella looking dance partner. Overlays, I’ve learned, are the key to a dramatic performance.

But hey, she dished out all the necessary hand gestures and hey, good for her or something, right?
