At the end of each week, #Top40Tweets lists a cross-section of artists on the current pop charts and puts their tweets on display (along with their current chart number) for your enjoyment/scrutiny. This week, we look at 6 artists on the Billboard Music Charts.

#100: Wiz Khalifa – No Sleep

Same deal goes for “hairpiece” or “herpes!” Say it out loud. Do it.

FUN FACT: This past Tuesday, Wiz won Best Track of the Year at the 2011 BET Awards for his #1 smash hit “Black & Yellow.” The song became the ubiquitous sports anthem this year, spawning a slew of alternate versions, including:

“Purp & Yellow” by Game, Snoop Dogg, and YG, representing the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Green and Yellow” by Lil Wayne, representing the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV.

“White and Navy” by Fabolous representing New York City, and the New York Yankees.

“Black and Yellow (Mike Tomlin)” by Wale, in reference to the Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin.

“Yeah Carmelo” by Maino, in reference to Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.

“Black and Red” by Jermaine Dupri representing the Atlanta Falcons.

“Black and Orange” by San Quinn representing the San Francisco Giants in their 2010 World Series victory.

“White and Purple” by Chet Haze (son of actor Tom Hanks), representing Northwestern University.

“Black and Jewish” by actresses Kali Hawk and Katerina Graham for the comedy video website Funny or Die

#13: Pitbull – Give Me Everything feat. Ne-Yo, Nayer, Afrojack

It’s a seven hour flight, so I feel like Afrojack’s best bet is to dig into the Narnia trilogy. The Lion, The Witch & The Precocious Dutch House DJ.

FUN FACT: Top earning mainstream club DJs like Afrojack, David Guetta, Deadmau5, and Skrillex will typically earn at least 15-30 grand per appearance.

(Uncharted): Jeremih – Down On Me feat. 50 Cent

50 should be showing his haters love, because they’re the only people paying attention.

FUN FACT: Remember the much publicized Vitamin Water deal? Allegedly, Curtis Jackson cleared over 100 million dollars on it. It’s a good thing, too, because the guy hasn’t had a Top 10 hit in 4 years.

#7: Rihanna – We Found Love

At first he was like:

DRAMA. Apparently Luther Campbell (aka Uncle Luke of 2 Live Crew) wrote a scathing editorial in the Miami New Times, chastizing rappers like Lil Wayne and Rick Ross for relocating to Miami, and not giving back to the community. And I quote, “I’ve got a message for Lil Wayne, his Cash Money Brothers, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all the rappers from other parts of the country who now live in Miami. I’m tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community.” He goes on to say “I’m giving them a deadline. They got until January 1. If I don’t see them giving back to the Magic City, I’m gonna have their Miami cards revoked.” So why is Wayne pissed at DJ Khaled? Khaled invited Luke to speak on the issue on his local radio station, 99 JAMZ. BEEF!

FUN FACT: Wayne moved to Miami after Hurricaine Katrina devasted his hometown of New Orleans in 2005.
