East Coast Canadian indie-rock supergroup, deploy!

Liam Corcoran, vocalist of Two Hours Traffic and and Kinley Dowling, violinist for Hey Rosetta! (who happen to be cousins) have formed a group with Cuff the Duke guitarist/pedal steel player Dale Murray have teamed up to form The Express, a countri-fied outfit who will independently release their self-titled debut album on July 5.

Recorded at Murray’s Dartmouth, NS home studio in between the various busy touring schedules in 2010. The first song, “Nobody Knows” features Corcoran’s rustic vocals over a laid-back acoustic guitar and violin; a press release states that the album will be “part-pop and part-folk,” but this one is pure country. You can listen to the song below, and head to the band’s Myspace to hear some more music
