Jack White joins Bobcat Goldthwait's Kinks musical?

We all knew Jack White wasn’t going to stay under the radar, so news that the former White Stripes frontman is rumoured to be recording music for the movie version of The Kinks‘ 1975 album, Schoolboys in Disgrace shouldn’t come as a surprise.

In a recent sit-down with the BBC, Kinks’ singer-guitarist Ray Davies described White as “a great technical player” and claimed he “would bring some great anarchy to [the film], which is in keeping with the script.”

According to Davies, the movie is being developed by comedian and director Bobcat Goldthwait, and will likely start production later this year or early next.
